Manual Propeller Pitch Control (MPPC)
The MPPC endorsement is essential for pilots looking to fly more complex aircraft and is a compulsory requirement for CPL candidates. Aircraft equipped with a Constant Speed Unit (CSU) propeller (variable pitch propeller) often have more power, with the CSU automatically changing the blade pitch to take best advantage of the engine’s speed.
Aircraft Australia;’s MPPC program will teach you propeller theory and operation both on the ground and in the air. You’ll learn how to handle emergencies, as well as the care and pilot maintenance of the CSU unit and blades.
Training for the MPPC endorsement is in Aircraft Australia’s Cessna 182 and includes 2.5 hours of flight training.
Retractable Undercarriage (RU)
As the aircraft you fly get bigger and faster, a retractable undercarriage is often fitted. The RU endorsement will teach you the complexities of this system and its pilot maintenance and operation. You will find the RU endorsement both exciting and challenging, matching the more complex aircraft that have this system fitted.
Aircraft Australia’s RU program includes 2.5 hours of flight time in the Cessna 210.
At Aircraft Australia you can gain your MPPC and RU endorsements together. This program includes five hours of flight time and 3 hours of briefings in Aircraft Australia’s Cessna 210.
